Permanent eyeliner is one of those procedures that genuinely changes daily life. No drawing eyeliner, no worrying about it running. But before booking, there are a few important things.
What it means in practice
Pigment is implanted along the lash line — lash enhancement — or above it as a classic eyeliner. The effect ranges from very natural (just defining the eye) to more dramatic.
Important: the eye area is more sensitive. The procedure happens very close to the eyes, which some people find psychologically uncomfortable. Eyes may water during the procedure — that's normal and doesn't affect the process.
Contact lenses
If you wear contact lenses — remove them before the procedure and don't put them back in for at least 48 hours after. Eyes are more sensitive right after the procedure.
Healing in the eye area
The eye area heals slightly differently than brows. There may be some swelling and redness in the first 24–48 hours. Colour fades the same way as everywhere — but the eye area process is a bit faster.
What you can't do:
- Rub your eyes
- Apply eyeshadow or eyeliner on the treated area for the first 2 weeks
- Mascara — at least a week, no
Hygiene is especially important here — the eye area is very vulnerable to infection. Hands away, no rubbing, no touching.
Who the procedure isn't suitable for
- Glaucoma or other chronic eye conditions
- Blood-thinning medication
- Tendency toward skin conditions around the eyes
We always do a consultation before the procedure — tell me about anything that might be relevant.
