The touch-up is not an add-on service. It's the second part of the procedure. Let me explain why.
Why pigment settles unevenly
Skin isn't uniform. Even on one face, different areas are thicker, thinner, oilier or drier. During the procedure, pigment goes in evenly — but during healing, each area of skin absorbs pigment differently.
That means after full healing (4–6 weeks), approximately 25–40% of clients have areas where pigment hasn't fully settled. Small patches, edges that aren't completely even.
The touch-up is where we fix all of that.
What happens at the touch-up
We look at the healed result, fill any areas where pigment has faded, and refine the shape if needed. The touch-up usually takes 1–1.5 hours — much shorter than the first procedure.
What happens if you skip the touch-up
The result can look unfinished — patchy brows, uneven edges. Technically not a disaster, but not the beautiful result you were hoping for.
Also, if you skip the touch-up and the pigment fades, the next time around the procedure can be more complex and more expensive.
When to come for the touch-up
No earlier than 4 weeks after the procedure — before that the skin is still healing. No later than 8–10 weeks — by then pigment has already started to diminish and the touch-up is less effective.
Optimal — 5–6 weeks after the procedure.
