The procedure is done, the touch-up too. The result looks great. Now — how to keep it looking that way for as long as possible?
1. SPF on your face every day
This is unambiguously the most important thing. UV radiation breaks down pigment — the same way it bleaches tattoos. If you use SPF 30+ on your face daily (including the brow area), pigment lasts significantly longer.
No need for a special cream — any everyday SPF moisturiser works.
2. Exfoliants — only outside the brow area
Retinol, AHA/BHA acids, peeling products — these speed up skin cell turnover. You can use them on your face, but avoid the brow area. If you use an active ingredient serum, apply it so it doesn't touch the brows.
3. Sauna and steam room — in moderation
After full healing, you can visit the sauna, but frequent visits affect pigment over time. If you're a regular sauna-goer, expect that you'll need a refresh sooner.
4. Book touch-ups on time
Don't wait until brows completely fade. A touch-up on slightly faded brows is simple and affordable. A touch-up on fully faded brows is essentially a full procedure again.
5. Moisturiser
Dry skin means faster cell renewal, which means pigment exits faster. A face moisturiser helps maintain skin balance.
6. After the pool — rinse your skin
Chlorinated water flushes pigment. If you've been swimming, rinse your face with plain water afterwards — it reduces chlorine's effect on the brows.
